The AI Agent Awakening
(And why "vibecoding" is a trap.)
Take a look at this post from Todd Ortscheid earlier this week: 👇🏼
For those who have been around a while, you know Todd used to be one of the biggest AI doubters in the room. Now? He’s predicting the extinction of the traditional VA staffing model in favor of AI agents.
And honestly? He is spot on about the shift. We are rapidly moving into a world where AI agents will execute the heavy lifting in property management.
But here is where I disagree with Todd (and Todd, I mean this with love—let’s debate this live sometime):
🚨 Do not try to build this yourself.
The "Vibecoding" Trap
I've heard about a lot of PMs spending their weekends trying to "vibecode" their own custom AI agents or apps to replace tools like Notion, Calendly, or Leadsimple. Others are setting up OpenClaw and giving it access to systems like Appfolio (please don't do this - MASSIVE security risk and liability)
Stop doing this. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Just pay the $30 a month.
If you want to win in the next five years, you don't need to become a software developer. You need to become an elite property manager who commands the best data.
Because here is the reality of AI:
An agent is only as smart as the context it’s given. The PMs with the best (and most accessible) data will make the best decisions, train the smartest agents, and inevitably run the best businesses.
The Foundation of the Agentic Marketplace
It’s no secret that PropertyManagement.com is actively building the agent marketplace for the industry (starting with our AI BDR).
So, why haven’t we released it to everyone today? Because you cannot build a mansion on a swamp. The foundation must be built on verified, objective data.
Right now, we are helping top operators surface their data on the industry's domain to completely dominate their local marketing and sales.
This week, we are taking the next massive step by rolling out our Company Dashboard.👇🏼

Your Tech Stack is Now a Data Engine
This brings me to your vendor choices.
The tools you use aren't just "software" anymore. They are the critical data engines required to power your company and fuel your future AI agents.
Look at one of our top-rated VPI partners:Â Property Meld. There is a reason they have been a staple in the industry for over a decade. They solve real, painful problems.
But if you look at their new MAX™ Intelligence product, you see exactly where the industry is heading. MAX™ isn't just a workflow tool; it’s a context engine. It surfaces the exact operational data you need to make elite, profitable decisions about your maintenance division.
To be the best PM in today's world, it's critical you choose the best tech stack and work with companies—like Property Meld—who are actively building toward this agent-powered future.
And in a world where AI rewards trust, credibility, and real-world proof, this kind of data-driven ecosystem is what gets you seen, chosen, and remembered.
Let’s get to work.
