We interviewed ~10 software CEOs and industry leaders right there in the garage of our New Orleans Airbnb.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp class=\"mb-4 text-primary leading-relaxed text-lg\">Aside from an ironic lesson on carbon monoxide poisoning and \u003Cstrong class=\"font-semibold\">nearly killing Ray Hespen\u003C\u002Fstrong> (I’m kidding, but you will have to watch the episode for the context), the lineup of conversations was incredible.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp class=\"mb-4 text-primary leading-relaxed text-lg\">After hours of off-the-record discussions with the people building the infrastructure of this industry, three things are absolutely clear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"1-the-golden-era-is-here\" class=\"text-2xl md:text-3xl font-semibold text-dark-blue mb-4 mt-6 leading-tight\">\u003Cstrong class=\"font-semibold\">(1) The Golden Era is Here\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp class=\"mb-4 text-primary leading-relaxed text-lg\">This is a full AI takeover. We are entering a golden era for property managers. The operators who move out of the planning phase and into execution are going to make a lot of money. But... there is a dangerous trend emerging. PMs who try to do too much “vibecoding” themselves are going to end up accidentally building software companies. If you try to build everything yourself, you will amass massive tech debt. You will end up having to hire a CTO and engineers. You will completely defeat the efficiency AI was supposed to provide for your operation. Let the technologists build the tech (at least the hard problems).
